Seven individuals who were arrested with cash and gold in Kathmandu have been made public.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office made four Nepali and three Indian nationals with one and a half kilograms of gold and an almost 15 million rupees by organizing a press meet a while ago.
According to police, the arrested are 47-year-old Ganesh Dutta Badu, Ayush Badu, 21, of Mahakali Municipality-3, Darchula, Dinesh Kharel, 30, and Bharat Raj Kharel of Birtamod Municipality-3, Jhapa.
The three Indian citizens arrested in connection with the case are Amol Vibhute, 37, Rishikesh Prakash Vibhute, 18, and Ganesh Satish Walte of Sangli Atpadi Thana, Maharashtra.
They were arrested in possession of 1768.25 grams of gold along with 14.36 million rupees, the police have said.
Acting on a tip-off that some people were being engaged in an illegal transaction of gold, a squad of police arrested the including Ganesh Dutta Badu with the aforementioned gold and cash from Katmandu Metropolitan City-24, Duchhenni.
Police said they are investigating the case after taking them under control.
