Husband and wife die as their house catches fire in Dhading

Two people were burnt to death after their house caught fire in Thakre Rural Municipality-5, Ghattekhola in Dhading district.

According to SP Gautam KC of the District Police Office, Dhading, 70-year-old Tej Bahadur Lama and his wife Thuli Lama, 70, died after their house caught fire on Wednesday night. All the food stuffs and clothes were reduced to ashes.  

 “We received about the fire around 11:30 pm on Wednesday. When a joint team from the police post, Hapsechaur and the Area Police Office, Khanikhola reached the incident site, the couple had already died,” SP told Nepalkhabar.

As the dry season reaches its peak, the wild fires have destroyed several houses across the country, causing a loss of properties worth millions of rupees.
