Bolero jeep strikes youth to death in Bhaktapur

A man has died after being struck by a Bolero jeep at Suryabinayak Municipality-9 in Bhaktapur district.

A Bolero jeep, Na 5 Kha 2361, heading to Jagati from Sanga struck 38-year-old Kamal Bayalkoti at Nalinchowk in Suryabinayak-9 on Tuesday evening, said District Police Office, Bhaktapur.

Bayalkoti, who originally hails from Palungtar Municipality-2, Gorkha, currently staying at Suryabinayak-9, Nalinchowk, sustained critical injuries when he was hit by the speeding jeep, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajak Karki of DPO, Bhaktapur.

Critically injured Bayalkot was taken to Iwamora Hospital for treatment. He was then referred to Sumeru Hospital in Lalitpur where he breathed his last, said DSP Karki.

Meanwhile, Police Circle, Jagati, has arrested Bolero jeep driver 23-year-old Sagar Majhi of Lalbandi Municipality-16, Sarlahi and the jeep involved in the accident. They are investigating the case, the police said.
