In what appears to be a horrific sight, a youth has been found burnt alive apparently after being tied to a tree in Kavre district.
The body of a man believed to be in his mid-20s was found in a decomposing state at Biraje Kholcha Jungle 50 meters down the road at Panchkhal Municipality-4, Phedi, Kavre, police said.
“We are heading towards the incident site,” DSP Raj Kumar Shrestha of District Police Office, Kavre, told Nepalkhabar, “A team under the command of a police inspector has already reached the incident site with a sniffer dog. I am also leaving for the incident site.”
The body is yet to be identified. “It appears to be a male of around 25 years of age.” The details will be unveiled after the investigation," shared Shrestha.
The man seems to have been tied to a tree with an iron wire by his mouth and chest before being set on fire, said Shrestha.
It appears that the incident must have taken place 20 to 25 days ago, added Shrestha.
