Kailash Sirohiya, chairman of Kantipur Media Group, who is currently doing time in judicial custody in citizenship case, has been produced at the Dhanusha District Court for the second time today.
Sirohiya was taken to the district court a while ago for a remand extension after the three-day remand he got for the first time from the court expired.
Sirohiya’s statements were recorded at the Office of the District Attorney for around three hours before being taken to the District Court.
Sirohiya will be released today if the court refuses to extend remand. A total of 12 advocates including senior advocate Shambhu Thapa are advocating on behalf of Sirohiya.
Media Mogul Sirohiya was arrested from Thapathali-based office of Kantipur Publications on Tuesday and whisked off to Dhanusha District Police Office for investigation in citizenship fraud case.
