Three Nepali nationals were injured in a residential building that caught fire in Kuwait City of Mangaf on Wednesday morning.
A total of five Nepali people were staying in the residential building.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Kuwait, the two injured are Shivashankar Paswan and Dorje Lama. They are receiving treatment at Adan Hospital while another injured Dinesh Kumar Mandal has been discharged after treatment at Farwania Hospital, the Nepali Embassy said.
Similarly, Zakir Nadaf and Santosh Kumar Goit who were staying in the building are safe.
The death toll in the fire that broke out in the residential building in Kuwait City of Mangaf on Wednesday morning has climbed to 49, according to a BBC news report.
A video shared on social media showed flames engulfing the lower part of the building and a plume of thick and black smoke billowing from the lower part of the building
The fire which broke out at 6 pm (local time), has now been taken under control, according to the interior ministry.
A senior police officer told state TV that there were a “large number” of people in the building when the fire broke out.
Many of the casualties are said to be foreign workers who lived there, according to the local media outlets.
