Most of the private petrol pumps have been closed after the petrol pump workers staged a strike in the Kathmandu Valley.

Petrol pump workers are staging a strike demanding for a hike in salary.

They took to the streets after their negotiation with the Nepal Oli Corporation on Sunday did not make any headway.

The NOC has deflected the workers' demands for a pay increase stating that it should be addressed by the concerned petrol pump owners and fuel transport companies.

Owing to the ongoing workers' strike, vehicle users have flocked to the gas stations operated by Nepal Police and Nepali Army since early morning today.
