India has set a 172-run target for England in the second semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the Providence Stadium, Guyana, India notched up 171 runs losing seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Rohit Sharma topped the score with 57 runs including six fours and two sixes followed by Suryakumar Yadav with 47 runs while Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja 23 and 17 runs, respectively. Similarly, Axar Patel contributed 10 runs.
On the bowling side, Chris Jordan took the highest three runs giving away 37 runs in three overs. Similarly, Reece Topley, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, Adil Rashid grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, the match which was scheduled to begin at 8 pm was delayed due to rain.
The winner of the second semi-finals will lock horns with South Africa for the tile of the ICC World.
In the first semi-finals match held this morning, South Africa reached the final defeating Afghanistan by nine wickets.
