Light to moderate rain is currently occurring in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. This is due to the influence of monsoon wind that is present across the country, says the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
According to the Department heavy rain forecast in some places of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces in the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin published by the Department this morning, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy in the country this afternoon, with a possibility of light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning at some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces as well as at some places of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy over the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain amidst thunderstorms in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces as well as in some places of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
In the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and some parts of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, according to the Department.
