Former Minister of State for Land Reform, Ramchandra Raya, has been murdered.
Raya was murdered while he was sleeping in his own house in Chandranagar Rural Municipality-1, Sarlahi at 1 am today, informed DSP Deepak Shrestha of District Police Office (DPO), Sarlahi.
A team led by DIG Yagya Binod Pokharel of the Madhesh Province Police Office has reached the incident site.
"No one has been arrested on suspicion of Raya's murder so far," DSP Shrestha told Nepalkhabar, "The team from the Province Police Office with a sniffer dog has arrived at the incident site. We are at the incident site and investigating the case."
The body has now been taken to the Province Hospital in Malangawa, the district headquarters of Sarlahi, after preparing a site report.
