17-yr-old girl jumps into Mahakali River, goes missing

A teenage girl went missing after jumping into the Mahakali River on Saturday evening.

According to District Police Office Darchula Police Inspector Gyanendra Bahadur Singh, 17-year-old Dhanisha Kunwar went missing in the Mahakali River in Ringne Lake area of Mahakali Municipality-4 of Darchula.

Originally from Duhun Rural Municipality-4 Dara, she was staying in her sister's house at Mahakali Municipality-4, currently.

The teenage girl was swept away by the swollen Mahakali River.

The search for the girl is continuing, the District Police Office, Darchula said.
