Man caught while dismantling ATM

Police have arrested a person in the act of dismantling an ATM at Balaju in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 this afternoon.

The arrested person is Radheshyam Baitha of Yamuna Rural Municipality-1, currently staying at Kathmandu-14, Kalanki, the police said.

The police caught Baitha red-handed with an iron rod used for breaking down the ATM.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police arrested Baitha while he was breaking down the ATM of Machhapuchchhre Bank at Balaju Chowk around 2:44 pm, District Police Range, Kathmandu said.

Baitha has been handed over to Police Circle, Balaju along with the iron rod. A further investigation into the case is underway, the police said.
