Three injured in Baglung landslide airlifted to Kathmandu

Three people injured in the landslide at Arupata in Badigad Rural Municipality-10 have been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.

Rima Pun, 19, Sita Thapa, 21, and Sangita Budha, 46, have been airlifted to Kathmandu at 9:30 am, according to Bina Kumari Thapa, Deputy Speaker of Gandaki Province Assembly. 

The others injured have been ferried to a hospital in Burtibang, she said. Four people are still missing in the landslide. Nepal Police and Nepali Army with the help of locals are carrying out search operation for the missing people. 

Eight people died and four others went missing after local Jog Budha’s house was buried by a landslide on Tuesday.

Nine people sustained injuries in the landslide.

Similarly, 15-year-old Bidhan Pariyar and Ganga Basnet, 24, perished in the landslide that occurred in Badigad-9 on Tuesday.
