41 passengers were traveling in the bus that plunges into Marsyangdi River (name-list)

It has been revealed that 41 passengers were travelling in the bus that fell into the Marsyangdi River at Anbukhairahani in Tanahu district on Friday morning.

The passenger bus with the Indian number plate, UP 53 FT 7823, heading to Kathmandu from Pokhara fell into the river from Ainapahara at 11:30 am.

A rescue operation is currently underway. Fourteen bodies have been retrieved from the accident site and 17 others who sustained injuries have rescued so far, Tanahun SP Birendra Bahadur Shahi told Nepalkhabar.

They had come from Gorakhpur of India, the police have said.

According to Thapa, the passengers were heading to Kathmandu after staying a night at Majheri Resort in Pokhara. They arrived in Pokhara on August 21. The rescue operation is underway.
