The body of Mukesh Yadav, the chairman of Ramgopalpur Municipality-2, Mahottari, has been found.
The body of Yadav was found this morning under the culvert of Bardibas-Jaleshwar road section in Bardibas Municipality-8, said DSP Santulal Jaiswal of District Police Office, Mahottari.
“I am at the incident site now. The body and Yadav's motorcycle number (LU. PRA. 01-001 Pa 6362) are also at the incident site,” he told Nepalkhabar, “Investigation into the incident is underway.”
Ward Chair Yadav was elected representing the CPN (Maoist Center) in the local elections.
The Bardibas-Jaleshwar road section is now blocked following Yadav’s death.
Locals have smelled a rat on the incident. However, DSP Jaiswal said that the cause of Yadav's death cannot be determined right away.
A large number of locals have gathered at the incident site.
