The impacts of monsoon winds are prevailing across the country, currently.
Likewise, the low-pressure line of the monsoon is in an average position in the west and around the usual location in the south and east, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
According to a weather bulletin issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology today, the weather is partly to generally cloudy throughout the country while light rain with thunder and lightning is taking place at one or two places in Koshi and Lumbini provinces.
According to the Division, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in some places of the seven provinces.
Heavy rainfall is also likely to occur at one or two places in the hilly region of Koshi Province. Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Karnali provinces and one or two places in the rest of the provinces.
The Department has urged the public to avoid the risk or damage of floods, landslides, and soil erosion in one or two places of the hilly region of Koshi Province as there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places of the hilly region.
The Department has also requested the authorities concerned to take necessary precautions as it is likely to partially affect daily life, agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road, and air transport in these areas.
