Govt provides Rs 50 mln financial aid to disaster victim families

The government has provided financial assistance to the next of kin of those killed in recent flood, landslide and inundation.

A total of Rs 50 million was provided as relief to the families of the deceased of 23 districts so far, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The government provided Rs 200,000 to each family. A total of 238 people across the country lost their lives, 177 were injured and 18 are still missing in the recent disaster. Activities to provide financial aid to the victim families are underway. (RSS)
