Husband and wife found dead in Kanchanpur; murder suspected

A usband and his wife have been found dead at Laljhandi Rural Municipality-1 in Kanchanpur district.

According to the District Police Office, Kanchanur, the bodies of 46-year-old Ramesh Badayak and his wife Kamala Badayak, 43, of Laljhandi Rural Municipality-1, have been found covered in blood.

The body of Ramesh was found in the courtyard and that of Kamala's on the veranda soaked in a pool of blood near the bed this morning, DSP Umesh Joshi of DPO, Kanchanpur said.

According to Joshi, the couple could have been killed using a sharp weapon.

A police squad led by DSP Joshi has left for the incident site with a sniffer dog from the DPO, Kanchanpur.

The couple used to run an eatery. They are survived by two sons and a daughter.
