Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak said that the government will also carry out probe into Vice President of Nepali Congress, Dhanraj Gurung, in the cooperative funds embezzlement case.
Speaking at a press meet oraganized by Press Union, Kaski on Wednesday, Home Minister Lekhak said the investigation into the cooperative embezzlement case will be conducted impartially, regardless of the accused person's political affiliation, organizational membership or social status.
"Those who are found guilty based on evidence will be subject to legal action," he said.
The investigation has been initiated against former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane based on the recommendation of the Parliamentary Special Committee, said Lekhak.
