Members of the Bhutanese royal family have arrived in Kathmandu on a personnel visit. They arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday and are scheduled to perform puja at the White Monastery on Saturday.
The Bhutanese team of in-laws has arrived three weeks after King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck returned to Bhutan.
Bhutanese King Wangchuck had arrived in Kathmandu on December 6 for a personnel visit. He returned home on the same day after offering prayers at Swayambhu and Boudha Nath.
After his return, a 13-member team including his in-laws and the Home Minister arrived in Kathmandu on Thursday, a source said. "Their visit is purely personnel," a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The Bhutanese team is staying at the Soaltee, Hyatt and Yak & Yeti hotels.
