Three people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Nepal Police Office assistant in Bara.
Rajkumar Rumba, a former assistant at the Area Police Office, Simara, and currently employed as an airport security guard in Simara, was shot dead.
His body was found inside a car on December 21. Rumba's body was found inside an EV car, 01-028 Cha 7616, on the Bakulia-Ramauli Losanda road in Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan City-11. A bullet was found in the head during the postmortem.
It has been revealed that the car belonged to National Investigation Department Officer Shrikant Tiwari. Tiwari, who was posted at the National Investigation Office, Bara, was also working at Simara Airport.
After finding the body inside his car, the police have also arrested Tiwari along with other two individuals. Those arrested have been identified as Purushottam Kumar Das, 27, of Jitpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-19 in Bara, and Indrajit Kumar Chauhan, 20, of the same place.
Das is the owner of Jai Maa Engineering Workshop in Jitpur Simara-1. The police have recovered a gold chain and purse possessed by the deceased from Das' workshop.
DSP Prakash Sapkota of the District Police Office, Bara informed that they are carrying out investigation by taking the arrested on a 7-day remand from the district court.
