Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma has assumed his office as the Nepali Ambassador to India for the second term.
Newly appointed Ambassador Sharma took charge of the office at the Embassy of Nepal in Barkhamba Road in New Delhi this afternoon, the Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
President Ramchandra Paudel on December 18 appointed Sharma as the Nepali Ambassador to India on the recommendation of the government.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers on July 29 had recommended 18 individuals as ambassadors to various countries including India and Malaysia.
Former Vice Chairman of the National Planning Commission (NPC), Dr Sharma had been appointed as the ambassador to India in March 2022.
Then President Bidya Devi Bhandari had appointed him as the Ambassador of Nepal to India.
Sharma was reappointed as the ambassador for the second term by the Nepali Congress-CPN (UML) government after he was recalled by then government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
