Foreign Minister Rana pays tribute to first woman ambassador Shah

Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has paid tribute to the late Bindeshwari Shah, the first woman ambassador of Nepal.

Former Ambassador Shah passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 92 at her residence in Kathmandu.

Minister Dr Rana reached the late Shah's residence at Kalimati, Kathmandu this afternoon and paid last respects to the late one by offering a bouquet of flowers.

Shah, who was then in the foreign service, was appointed Nepali ambassador to India in 2044 BS.
