Bajhang jeep mishap death toll climbs to four

The death toll in the Bajhang Bolero jeep accident has climbed to four after one more injured passed away.

The accident occurred when a Bolero jeep, Se 1 Ja 843, heading to Chainpur from Talkot Rural Municipality met with an accident at Dhemena on Thursday night, said Yubaraj Bhandari of District Police Office, Bajhang.

According to Bhandari, three people died on the spot while the other passed away while being rushed to hospital.

The deceased are driver Shumsher Malla, 33, of Kedarsyun Rural Municipality-1, Rayal, Jaimati Devi Dhami, 33, her son Bam Bahadur Dhami, 36, and Akriti Dhami,6, of Talkot Rural Municipality-4. Six-year-old Akriti breathed her last while being rushed to the District Hospital, Bajhang for treatment, Dr Binaya Joshi of District Hospital, Bajhang said.

A team led by Inspector Lokendra Thagunna had reached the accident site after being informed about the accident.
