Sagarmatha Dialogue to be held in Kathmandu on May 16-18 inaugurated

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated the Sagarmatha Dialogue program to be held in Kathmandu on May 16-18.

On the occasion of the International Year of Glaciers' Preservation, 2025, Prime Minister Oli ‘launched’ the Sagarmatha Dialogue at a program organized by the Ministry of Forests and Environment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar on Tuesday.

For the first time, the government is organizing such a global dialogue every two years, focusing on climate change, mountains and the future of human life.

Prime Minister Oli has addressed the issue of why Nepal is organizing such a program. Nepal has been raising a strong voice in the international community regarding climate justice.

Deputy Prime Minister, ministers, secretaries, distinguished officials and heads and representatives of diplomatic missions in Nepal were present at the program.
