Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburg, and his wife Duchess Sophie have arrived in Nepal.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed them separately at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday, the ministry said.

"The delegation led by Edward is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel at 4 pm," Khila Karki, the press coordinator of the President, told Nepalkhabar.
Edward and Sophie will visit Ghandruk, Annapurna mountain range and British Gurkha Camp in Pokhara, according to UK media outlets.
Likewise, during their visit, they are scheduled to attend programs to be held at the British Embassy in Kathmandu, the National Botanical Garden in Godavari, the International Center for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), in Pokhara and other places, according to the Foreign Ministry.
A squad of Nepali Police and Nepali Army will provide security during the couple's Nepal visit.
Prince Edward, the youngest brother of King Charles III, is arriving in Nepal after wrapping up his three-day visit to India.

Prince Edward arrived in Mumbai on Sunday as a part of his three-day visit aimed at celebrating the longstanding ties between India and the UK, Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
Prince Edward and his team will return home on February 9, the Foreign Ministry.
