A fire that broke out at the Ministry of Water Supply in Singha Durbar on Saturday morning has been extinguished.
According to Kathmandu District Police Range spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohara, the fire broke out suddenly at around 8:45 this morning.
"The fire broke out on the top floor of the Ministry of Water Supply, but we have now brought it under control," he said, "It probably took 15-20 minutes to extinguish the fire."
He said that an investigation has been launched into how the fire started.
"We are also collecting information about the extent of the damage caused by the fire," said SP Bohara.
According to the police, the fire broke out in the office of Minister of Drinking Water Pradeep Yadav.
