Two people have died and five others were injured in a road accident that took place in Badigad Rural Municipality of Baglung district.
The accident took place this evening as a passenger jeep, Lu. 3 Cha. 5569, heading to Ward-10 from Bhimgithe of the same rural municipality met with an accident at a place called Sarkipata.
The deceased have been identified as Khadak Bahadur Kuwar, 75, of Cholang, Nisikhola Rural Municipality-7, and Juna Kandel, 35, of Dhorpatan Municipality-5, according to Superintendent of Police Vijay Yadav of the District Police Office, Baglung.
Likewise, the injured are Tejkumari Budha, 63, and Nimsara Budha, 50, Thamkumari Poudel, 52, and Sita Poudel, 30, of Badigad-9. One of the injured has not been identified.
Among the injured, Tejkumari Budha has been referred for further treatment while others are undergoing treatment at Burtibang Hospital. The jeep was reportedly carrying twelve passengers.
