RPP MP Deepak Bohara passes away

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Member of Parliament (MP) Deepak Bohara has passed away.

Bohora, a senior leader of RPP and former minister, died while undergoing treatment at Om Hospital in Kathmandu, his personal secretary, Taramani Chand, informed Nepalkhabar.

Bohora was elected from Rupandehi in the previous federal election. Elected from Rupandehi Constituency-1, he had defeated Nepali Congress candidate and then Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand in the 2079 election.

Bohora had been suffering from a severe illness that left him unable to speak for the past three and a half years.

According to his family sources, he developed complications in his vocal cords after a COVID-19 infection.
