Nepal clinches 2nd consecutive win, defeats Kuwait by 6 wickets

Nepal has secured a second consecutive win in the ongoing four-nation T20 series thanks to Kushal Bhurtel's explosive batting.

Nepal defeated Kuwait by 6 wickets in the ongoing T20 series held in Hong Kong on Thursday morning.

Nepal achieved the target of 186 runs set by Kuwait with 7 balls to spare, losing only 4 wickets.

In Nepal's win, Bhurtel played a blazing innings of 81 runs off 50 balls. He hit 6 fours and 6 sixes to post a high score, while the other opener, Aasif Sheikh, also completed a half-century. Aasif scored 53 runs off 38 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes.

Kushal Malla was out for 4 runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 31 runs off just 12 balls. Captain Rohit Paudel remained not out on 4 runs, and Gulshan Jha on 9.

For Kuwait, Yasin Patel took 2 wickets, while Mohamed Shafeeq and Mohammad Aslam claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, Kuwait had posted a total of 185 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, with Clinto Anto top-scoring with 41 runs. Opener Ravija Sandaruwan scored 26, Meet Bhavsar made 35, and Bilal Tahir added 32 runs. Captain Mohammad Aslam contributed 17 runs.

For Nepal, Sompal Kami took 3 wickets, while Nandan Yadav grabbed 2 wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi and Kushal Bhurtel claimed one wicket each.

Earlier, in the first match, Nepal had defeated Qatar by 8 wickets. In the four-nation series, Nepal will now face Hong Kong on Saturday.
