CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that he is not running for the post of the President.

Talking to media persons after being sworn-in as a lawmaker on the premises of the federal parliament on Thursday, Nepal said, “I am not in the fray for the presidential post.”

He said he had rejected the presidential offer twice – first time in 2064 BS and in 2072 BS for the second time.

“We have not initiated discussions in this regard. The current coalition will continue. The power sharing will be made as per the demands required by the circumstances,” said Nepal.
