Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed its leaders and cadres to make sure that his party CPN (UML) will maintain control over Kathmandu on May 29.

Inaugurating the orientation program of the people-elected ward chairpersons of Bagmati Province on Sunday, he directed not to leave a stone unturned to foil the movement announced by the royalists.

"Get ready to foil the movement announced by the pro-monarchists," Oli said, "Kathmandu should be under the control of UML leaders and cadres on May 29 from 11 AM to 2 PM. The party will direct you according to the situation that develops."

Oli went on to say, "The movement has nothing to do with the protocol."

The royalists have announced to start movements from May 29 in order to reinstate the monarchy.

Coming hard on the royalists, Oli said, "They were shouting slogans, "Our King, Our Nation, Dearer than Our Life." Where had they disappeared at a time when the royal massacre took place?"

He criticized the royalists calling them nothing but deceitful palm-greasers.

"Telling lies and greasing palms is the characteristic of mandales," he said, "They never wage a movement for a noble cause, but for their own gain."
