Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to present the budget for the fiscal year 2025/26 in a joint meeting of the National Assembly and the House of Representatives tomorrow (Thursday).
According to the Federal Parliament, the Finance Minister will present the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure (budget) for the upcoming fiscal year at 3 PM.
Prior to that, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will read out a letter from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding additional responsibilities and present it to the assembly at 1:30 PM.
Similarly, Finance Minister Paudel will present the Economic Survey for the Fiscal Year 2024/25 in the House of Representatives at 1:30 PM, and at the National Assembly at 1:45 PM, the Parliament Secretariat has said.
According to the Parliament Secretariat, all members of parliament have been requested to be present in the House of Representatives meeting hall for the joint session before 2:45 PM, well ahead of the budget presentation at 3 PM.
