World Cup League-2: Nepal fielding against Netherlands after losing the toss

Nepal is batting against Netherlands in the ongoing triangular series under the ICC World Cup League-2 underway in Scotland today.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss at the Forthill Cricket Stadium in Dundee, Netherlands notched up 35 runs losing 2 wickets in 9.2 overs in the ODI match that kicked off at 3:45 PM, local time.

Having secured a thrilling 1-wicket victory over Scotland in the first match of the series, the Nepali team wants to maintain the same winning streak.

Meanwhile, Netherlands is playing its first match of the series and is looking for a flying start.

This is the first encounter between Nepal and Netherlands in the League-2 series since February 2024. In their previous meeting held in Nepal's home ground, Kirtipur, Nepal had defeated Netherlands in one match but lost the other.

In the League-2 standings, Nepal is in the seventh position with three wins, eight losses and 2 draws out of 13 matches played so far. It has collected 8 points so far.

On the other hand, Netherlands is in the 2nd position with 12 wins, 6 losses and 2 draws out of 20 matches played so far. It has notched up 26 points.
