Nepal has received a mammoth 324-run target from Scotland in its third match of the ICC World Cup Cricket League 2 trangular ODI series underway in Scotland.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss at the Forthill Cricket Stadium in Dundee on Sunday, home team Scotland managed to notch up 323 runs with the help of captain Richie Berrington's 102 runs score, losing 6 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Berrington hit 6 fours and 4 sixes off 114 deliveries.
Michael Leask scored 96 runs including 12 fours and 3 sixes off 62 balls followed by Charlie Tear with 68 runs. Tear hit 9 fours off 65 deliveries. Similarly, Mark Watt contributed 21 runs, while Finlay McCreath, Brandon MCMullen and Matthew Cross made 17, 5 and 3 runs, respectively.
On the bowling side, Sompal Kami and Dipendra Singh Airee grabbed 2 wickets each giving away 74 runs and 37 runs, respectively for Nepal. Lalit Raj Rajbanshi claimed 1 wicket.
This is Nepal's second meeting with Scotland in this ongoing trangular ODI series. Earlier, in the first match, Nepal successfully chased down Scotland's record target of 297 runs.
