Nepal is taking on Netherlands in a T20I triangular series today (Monday).
The Nepali national cricket team, currently on a tour to Scotland, will face the Dutch team at Titwood in Glasgow at 7:45 PM Nepali time. Nepal aims to make a flying start to the series by defeating Netherlands.
Meanwhile, Netherlands, who lost their first match to Scotland by 39 runs, are also eager to secure their first win.
Nepal is in high spirits after defeating Netherlands in both matches of the recently concluded ICC World Cup League-2 triangular ODI series. In League-2, Nepal defeated Netherlands by 5 wickets in the first match and by 16 runs in the second match.
Similarly, Nepal had defeated Scotland by 1 wicket in the first match but lost the second match by just 2 runs. On the other hand, the home team (Scotland) had defeated Netherlands by 44 runs in the first match but lost the second match by 4 wickets.
For the T20I series, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 16-member squad under the captaincy of Rohit Paudel. The team includes new additions Kiran Thagunna, Lokesh Bam, and Rupesh Singh.
Two changes have been made to the squad from the ICC World Cup League-2 triangular ODI series. Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha, who played against Netherlands in League-2, are unable to participate in the T20 series due to injuries.
