The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to return all the security personnel being used as bodyguards in violation of the VVIPs Security Procedure, 2077.
Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane has ordered all the leaders and high-ranking officials concerned to return bodyguards within 48 hours, informed Fanindra Mani Pokharel, the spokesperson at the Home Ministry.
“If security personnel are being used as bodyguards in violation of the VVIP Security Procedures, 2077, the concerned bodies or high-ranking officials are requested to return them within 48 hours,” reads the press note issued by the Home Ministry.
Home Minister Lamichhane issued the order stating that the security personnel are being misused despite being the VVIP Security Procedure in place to manage the VVIP security personnel.
