Wife succumbs to grief after husband's death in Kuwait

A woman of Dhankuta who fell unconscious after hearing the death of her husband in Kuwait has passed away, rendering their three daughters orphaned.

Dambar Bahadur Magar of Mahalakshmi Municipality-1, Dhankuta, passed away due to consumption of thanol-laced liquor in Kuwait on August 20.

He had gone abroad for employment in 2080 BS. Bidya Magar, 33, the spouse of Dambar Bahadur, who went into coma after hearing the death of her husband, breathed her last on August 23. Bidya, who went into coma, was rushed to Jitpur Municial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by doctors.

Not only the family but the entire village has been in a state of shock  after the husband and wife died in the period of three days.

Among the three daughters of the Magar Couple, the eldest daughter Bipana, 16, is studying grade 12, the second eldest Sanju, 15, in grade 11 while the youngest daughter is only two years sold.

The future of these three daughters has been on hold following the death of their parents. The locals have launched a fund-raising campaign by opening a bank account in the name of the second eldest daughter.

Mahalakshmi Municipality has pledged that it would bear the educational expenses of Bidya and Sanju.
