Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged the heads of diplomatic missions and foreign ambassadors to disseminate positive messages about Nepal to the international community sating that the situation of the country is turning to normalcy, gradually.
Prime Minister Karki made this appeal during the meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions and foreign ambassadors convened at Singha Durbar on Friday.
During the meeting, Karki expressed gratitude to all countries and development partners for their cooperation, friendship, and understanding.
Karki had summoned the heads of 26 diplomatic missions and foreign ambassadors to Singha Durbar to brief them on the current political situation of the country and the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, next year.
This briefing follows the government's decision on Thursday to recall ambassadors from 11 countries including China and America. They were instructed to return home by November 6, 2025, according to Communications Minister Jagdish Kharel. While many are political appointees, some are career diplomats.
The primary responsibility of the interim government, which was formed on September 12 under the leadership of former Chief Justice Karki following the Gen Z movement, is to conduct the House of Representatives election on March 5.
