Sudupaschim Royals has set a 140-run target for Karnali Yaks in the 10th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), a franchise-based T20 cricket tournament, underway in Kirtipur.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground, Sudurpaschim notched up 139 runs losing 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Captain Dipendra Singh Airee scored the highest 39 runs including 1 four and 2 sixes off 28 deliveries. Similarly, Aarif Sheikh notched up 27 runs while Harmeet Singh and Chris Lynn contributed 19 and 18 runs, respectively. Likewise, Binod Bhandari and Scott Kuggeleijn made 11 and 10 runs, respectively.
In reply, Sompal Kami took the highest 3 wickets followed by Nandan Yadav with 2 wickets while Mark Watt, Bipin Sharma and Yuvraj Khatri claimed 1 wicket each for Karnali Yaks.
Kathmandu Gorkhas and Lumbini Lions are scheduled to lock their horns on Tuesday. The match will begin at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur at 4 pm.
