Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Central Working Committee (CWC) member Shekhar Koirala have held a meeting.
During the meeting held at Deuba's residence, leader Koirala, who accompanied Central Working Committee (CWC) member Dr Minendra Rijal to meet Deuba, complained that the active membership distribution committee had sent numerous unnumbered membership forms to the districts.
Stating that the act of sending forms without numbers to the districts would widen internal rift further in the party, Koirala warned that the convention will not move ahead unless such unnumbered forms were not withdrawn right away.
Similarly, Koirala further stated that the action against the leaders taken by the Central Disciplinary Committee should be lifted as soon as possible.
Drawing his attention to the disciplinary action against the leaders, Koirala urged Deuba to immediately lift the action creating environment conducive for all the party rank and file to partake in the party's imminent 15th General Convention.
It is inappropriate to take action against the leaders over issues related to the 2079, asserted Koirala.
