National cricket player Minash Thapa, 27, lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Biratnagar late Wednesday night.
According to SP Kabita Katwal, Chief of Morang Police, the accident occurred around 1:00 am in the Biratnagar-4 area. Thapa was traveling from the airport line toward Ganesh Chowk on his motorcycle, Province 1-02-042 Pa 8002, when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle.
Thapa, a resident of Biratnagar-5, who sustained critical injuries was immediately rushed to Koshi Hospital for treatment. However, attending physicians pronounced him dead shortly after arrival.
Minash Thapa was a prominent figure in the national cricket, known primarily for his skills as a batsman. He had been an active representative of Koshi Province in national-level cricket for over nine years.
The news of his untimely demise has sent a wave of grief through the sports community, with fellow players and fans mourning the loss of a dedicated athlete.
