Nepal has lost to Netherlands by 2 runs in the ICC Women's World Cup Global Qualifiers held in Kirtipur.
Netherlands restricted Nepal to 138 runs while the latter was chasing the 141-run target.
To restrict Nepal from reaching the target, Isabel van der Woning took the highest 3 wickets giving away 16 runs while Silver Siegers, Robine Rijke and Caroline de Lange claimed 1 wicket each for Netherlands.
Rubina Chhetry's 37-run score was the highest for Nepal. Sita Rana Magar notched up 27 runs while Bindu Rawal and Samjhana Khadka hit 18 and 14 runs, respectively. Similarly Kabita Joshi contributed 13 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Netherlands notched up140 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Babette de Leede topped the score with 49 runs including 7 fours off 47 balls followed by Sterre Kalis with 30 runs while Robine Rijke and Iris Zwilling 19 and 14 runs, respectively. Similarly, Heather Siegers contributed 13 runs.
In reply, Rubina Chhetry took the highest 2 wickets while Somu Bist, Puja Mahato and Riya Sharma grabbed 1 wicket each for Nepal. With this loss, Nepal has a slimmer chance to reach Super Six.

In the previous match, Nepal was defeated by Thailand. Having defeated Zimbabwe and Scotland, the Netherlands is seeking their third win.
If Netherlands defeats Nepal, it will reach the Super Six. In the Women's T20 rankings, the Netherlands is 14th and Nepal is 21st.
