Scotland has set a 141-run target for Nepal in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers underway in Kirtipur.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground on Monday, Scotland notched up 140 runs losing all wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Priyanaz Chatterji topped the score with 45 runs including 7 fours off 28 balls followed by Ailsa Lister with 22 runs while Sarah Bryce, Megan McColl and Rachel Slater contributed 18, 17 and 11 runs, respectively.
The other batters could not achieve significant runs.
In reply, Manisha Upadhayay and Rubina Chhetry claimed 4 and 3 wickets, respectively while Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar and Kabita Joshi grabbed 1 wickets each for Nepal.
Both Nepal and team Scotland are under pressure to secure their position in the Super Six phase. Nepal's possibility to enter the Super Six phase will end if Scotland emerged victorious in today's match.
Nepal lost to Thailand by eight wickets in the first match and by two runs in the second match against the Netherlands.
However, Nepal defeated Zimbabwe in the third match.
