The Election Commission (EC) has announced that 110 MPs have been elected under the proportional representation (PR) system.
The parties had recommended names for PR MPs based on the votes they received in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections. On this basis, the EC unveiled the list of the proportional representation MPs today.
The EC will distribute certificates to the MPs elected from the PR system on March 19. The Commission has requested them to submit the necessary documents to obtain the certificate of election.
To facilitate this, MPs elected under the PR system must submit their original citizenship certificates or national identity cards, along with two passport-sized photographs. These documents should be delivered to the PR Election Officer’s office at the Commission Secretariat during office hours on March 17.
