Indian External Affairs Secretary Vikram Misri's two-day scheduled visit to Nepal has been postponed.
According to a highly-placed government source, Misri who was scheduled to visit Nepal starting May 11 has been postponed for now.
With the formation of a new government in Nepal under the leadership of Balendra Shah, Delhi had decided to send Foreign Secretary Misri to Kathmandu.
Although Mishri's visit was said to be in line with the priorities of the new government and to give a new dimension to bilateral relations, it has been postponed.
However, Delhi has not disclosed the real reason for the postponement of the visit.
