The Republic of Armenia officially inaugurated its Honorary Consulate office in Kathmandu today, a move expected to significantly strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the two nations.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the non-residential Ambassador of Armenia to Nepal, Vahagn Afyan, emphasized that the burgeoning relationship between the two countries will unlock substantial mutual benefits. He noted that the opening of the consulate creates a clear path forward for deeper bilateral cooperation and will bring the peoples of both nations closer together.
Newly appointed Honorary Consul of Armenia to Nepal, Kiran Malla, highlighted several key sectors primed for immediate collaboration. He pointed out that there is immense potential for joint initiatives in tourism and hydropower, alongside opportunities in various other commercial industries.
The event saw a strong diplomatic turnout, attended by members of the local diplomatic corps, representatives from various international missions in Nepal, and honorary consuls representing other nations.
