Nepal has defeated China by 221 runs in the first match of the Asian Games Men's Qualifier held in Singapore on Sunday.
Nepal bowled out China for 92 runs in 19.2 overs while the latter was chasing the 314-run target.
Kushal Malla took the highest 3 wickets followed by Sandeep Lamichhane and Sompal Kami with 2 wickets each while Nandan Yadav claimed 1 wicket to restrict the opponent from reaching the target.
Shenjian Zheng 31-run score was the highest for China. Zheng hit 1 four and 4 sixes off 15 deliveries.
Du Jianhao and Tian Senqun scored 17 and 12 runs, respectively. Chen Zhuo Yue contributed 9 runs, Zong Yuechao and Yang Wangjie made 3 and 1 runs, respectively for China.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal notched up 313 runs losing 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel topped the score with 129 runs including 5 fours and 16 sixes off 43 balls, followed by Kushal Malla and Rohit Paudel with 85 and 69 balls, respectively while Aasif Sheikh contributed 11 runs.
In reply, Ma Qiancheng and Deng Jinqi took 1 wicket each for China.
