Prime Minister Balendra Shah has revealed that Nepal has also encroached on Indian land in many places.

He said this while answering the questions raised by the Members of Parliament in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting today.

Responding to questions raised by the lawmakers, he said that the encroached border between the two countries will be resolved through table talks and diplomatic channels.

"After becoming the Prime Minister, I came to know that, not only India, but also Nepal has encroached on Indian land in many places. These border issues will be resolved through table talks and diplomatic channels," said the Prime Minister.

Earlier, CPN-UML MP Padma Aryal  had asked the Prime Minister regarding India and China's decision to resume a trade route through Lipulekh-Limpiyadhura without consulting Nepal. She asked for his stance on the matter and inquired about the government's current response.

The Prime Minister's remarks drew sharp criticism from lawmakers. Following the revelation, lawmakers of Nepali Congress and Nepali Communist Party urged the Speaker to remove his remarks from the parliamentary record.

Prime Minister Shah left the parliament meeting immediately after attending the answer-question session.
