The country at present is under the influence of upper-level western trough and local wind systems, resulting in generally cloudy conditions throughout the country, the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
Similarly, the rain amidst thunderstorms is expected at a few places in Madhesh Province, the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
Light rain is also predicted at one or two places in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, according to the Department.
